Bring Nature Inside

Philosophy as a print maker, who is blended a naturalist.

How high the quality means to me, how close my product to the mother nature. When I print, I always think about how my work can be an authentic nature. As I use digital DSLR to capture a nature scene and edit with a digital monitor, how come is it possible?

I focus on smoothness and natural details as possible as I can.

Key essences are…

1. Take a picture tac sharp as higher bits of RAW files.

2. Develop the photos with multi White Balance (or Local Hue) setting.
   Because camera cannot see what we see.

3. Print the images on natural papers with hi-res printer.

4. For permanence, I use pigment ink to spray on.

This whole process affects to print quality.

And more importantly, my work is always based on the people who support and provide fine art papers. Nature-made raw ingredients are very important for me to create fine art prints. Each of those fine materials makes my work one step closer to actual nature. Tangible texture of paper, visible tonality of saturation, high Dmax, and permanence are the key factors. These are the reasons I use cotton, bamboo, and Kozo (Broussonetia papyrifera) based papers with no OBAs.

Finally, you feel nature on my work! It can be possible to bring nature inside of your mind.
